What’s my luck today What reward is coming my way Will it be good, will it be bad Whatever it is……I’ll be glad What’s my destiny What does the future hold for me Will it be sunny, will it be grey Whatever it is……that’s ok Black Cats or Broken Mirrors Which one shall it be Black Cats or Broken Mirrors It’s all the same to me Cos I take Life in my stride I don’t try to hide I’m true to myself So I feel good inside Look the world in the eye And never say die Cos I know in my heart That I’ll never comply Will my ship come in Will my wheel of fortune spin Will it be chance, will it be fate Whatever it is….. I’ll feel great I was walking down the street Concentrating on my beat Through the air a loud voice said Watch that ladder above your head A black cat crossed my path today But I just looked the other way A single magpie came along too I said Mr Magpie how are you

Dog on the wall is looking at me As the clock keeps ticking away I've read all the leaflets on the notice board But they ain't got nothing to say The birds leave the trees Like the leaves on the breeze To the sound of a slide trombone And the hill top view Is a world I knew That used to be my second home In a crowd where I could be alone Everything changes but it all stays the same Nothing is different but the name….. ……of the game Dog on the wall is looking at me As the clock keeps ticking away I still can quote all the coins and notes But I ain't got no money to pay The stones on the mound Make a rock star sound As they crumble to the dust While the chords they strum And the song that's sung Are the only words that I can trust I might not want to but I really must If you do what you've always done You'll win what you've always won 'Cos you know there's nothing new Under the sun Now the game's begun

I need some information About the time the season’s due I want you to inform me I need some news from you The world is spinning round And it hurts so much to turn Everyone is trying to teach Yet what have we to learn And as the oceans close upon Our ever shrinking land The world’s committing suicide Killed by man’s own hand And so my love for life has died I feel the need for sleep The shallow waters of a man Have proven far too deep My memories I’ll keep

Life is a funfair A merry-go-round with sad faced clowns Life is a funfair A roller coaster of ups and downs There’s a lesson we learn From every ferris wheel turn It say’s it doesn’t matter where you stop You’re heading for the bottom Even when you’re at the top There’s a reason why At the coconut shy It doesn’t mater if you’re standing tall There are just so many knocks You can take before you fall Try to keep your balance on the cakewalk On the ghost rain show no fear Don’t get phased in the mirror maze At the reflection that appears There’s a feeling inside Like a bumper car ride It doesn’t matter what direction you take You won’t get very far Before you need to hit the brake
5.
It’s not easy saying I love you When I’m hearing no reply It’s so hard to see you happy When all I want to do is cry Can’t you see that it’s me Reaching out to you Can’t you see that it’s me Who loves you For the fingers and wings Of delicate things On the hand that flies Through the pastel skies And the bird that sweetly sings It’s not easy standing beside you When you don’t even know I’m there It’s so hard to make you notice When all you do is turn and stare Can’t you see that it’s me Reaching out to you Can’t you see that it’s me Who loves you For the fingers and wings Of passionate things On the hand that flies Through the pastel skies And the bird that sweetly sings For every love that’s died A million tears are cried And every eye that’s dried Can’t hide the pain inside For the fingers and wings Of feathers and rings On the hand that flies Through the saddest skies Where no bird attempts to sing

Four Corners 05:00
Crossed the path of a wizard Where I inherited his curse He said something bad’s gonna happen to you ………………….or worse I begged for his mercy So that it be undone He laughed as cast these words my way While getting ready to run Spin around Throw a coin in the well Meet a prince at midnight But never kiss and tell Somewhere you’ll find Between Heaven and Hell And all four corners of the earth A place to break the spell So I called upon my guardian angels Said I needed their help There’s nothing we can do right now You’ll have to help yourself Saw a witch on her broomstick Flying through the sky I asked if she would set me free Came her reply

I drank the water from the well of eternal dreams I bought the legend of mythical kings and queens Yes I used to believe in fairy tales Long forgotten magic of some bygone days Of curses, potions and spells Of pixies, goblins and elves Fictional mademoiselles I used to believe I felt the power of the sword in the mighty stone I heard the ballad of medieval crumbling bones Yes I used to believe in fairy tales Long forgotten magic of some bygone days Of skulls in the shallowest graves Of dragons slain in their caves The glory of the young and the brave I used to believe The strangest things in the simplest times The gentlest people do the bloodiest crimes Deep complexity in the most mundane Original sin strikes again and again Yes I used to believe in fairy tales Long forgotten magic of some bygone days Of demons, devils and ghouls Of monsters deep in the pool Of folklore, fables and fools I used to believe
8.
The truth is in the numbers The lie falls in the text A consequence of incidents Illogically next To ensure the evil warlord Got all that he was owed A brilliant mind would need to find What’s hidden in the code They say the war was shorter By two full years or more Yet we persecute the hero With an antiquated law This game of death by numbers The weapon cyanide One bite of the apple Is declared as suicide On the night that justice died The world is full of guilty secrets Try to fool the many by the few Until we understand the reasons We won’t know why they do the things they do Within the message lies the motive Deep inside the words we find out why And as we see the text unfolding The more we get to know the more we cry When we look back in anger At all the suffering and pain Let history remind us That when tyranny remains It could happen once again The brainwashing of youth Is distortion of the truth If the older generation turn their heads
9.
Words once said can never be retrieved The lie exposed can never be believed The lines you speak are clearly well rehearsed They only serve to make the matters worse So you can talk all you like About what you think is best But if the undertaker should meet his maker Tell me…..what should we do next? Music has the power to unite When all that’s said is full of hate and spite Songs once sung dissolve into the ground And settle in the endless wall of sound It’s such a fine line Between life and death From new born cry To final breath Through coming of age And every stage The moments to reflect Dreams once dreamed can hold you in their spell Long beyond the stories that they tell Reality and fantasy combine When we wander from the beaten track of time

Aftermath 03:10

Boulder rolling down the mountain Arrows in the blazing sky Bullets flying at our young ones This is not their time to die Sleeping in a bombed out building Listening to the battle cry Orphans dancing through the minefields This is not their time to die Save the children Protect the child Save the children From the madness of the murdering mind No food to put upon the table Don’t know if they’ll eat today Twenty miles for dirty water This should never be the way Wait for basic medication Try to keep disease at bay No access to an education This should never be the way Wicked thoughts of evil strangers Rob them of their innocence Close to home, our little secret How can this make any sense Please don’t leave me home this evening I’ve no way of self defence With no adult understanding How can this make any sense Come on all you politicians Time for you to make a stand Democratic or dictator Power lies within your hands Yes listen all you politicians Make the changes we demand Get together, make it better Power lies within your hands
12.
The defiance of giants Is now compliance or alliance If you’re not thinking, then you’re sinking To the bottom of the pool Trapped inside the tide of petty rules For busy fools Came upon a holy man As he was kneeling down to pray I assumed as a child of God He would surely know the way But he said…… The wisdom that you crave Can be gathered from the grave In the manuscripts and remedies Of past polite societies And the way they misbehaved Yet the strength of which you seek Once protected by the meek In the manuscripts and remedies Of past polite societies Open up and speak……to us Standing in a crowd on a busy street corner Waiting for the lights to change Nobody talking, nobody walking Their movements pre-arranged We stand and wait obeying the state No one steps out of line I can’t recall the day at all When we surrendered our minds But it’s been a long time If we don’t choose the laws To which we lead our lives Then we’ll never take control If we fail to push away What may deprive We will sacrifice our soul
13.
Magic Man 03:29
A trick of the light, a sleight of the hand Prepare to be deceived by the magic man It’s hard to believe, you don’t understand How you could be deceived by the magic man Out of the hat, into the fire The pretty young girl floats higher and higher If we see, it must be true But tell me just who is fooling who? You try as you might, hard as you can Not to be deceived by the magic man But it’s over and done before it began Again you’ve been deceived by the magic man Innocent eyes, gullible fools Confusion reigns, illusion rules Chase the lady, pick a card Shuffle the pack but stay on your guard Whatever you check, however you plan You’re sure to be deceived by the magic man You could be a mark, it may be a scam You’re about to be deceived by the magic man
14.
I feel the desperation Of those few still alive Whose only aim each morning Is simply to survive And as they go about their task Beneath the hunter’s gaze We count the single figures In the numbering of days Then go our separate ways

Had me a dream the other night I don’t pretend to understand All alone in a big white spotlight Got a suitcase in my hand now Out of nowhere a train appeared Steaming down the track When I heard the whistle blowing Then I knew there was no turning back…. ….And the man said Get on board Take a seat For the journey of your life Be good to those you meet You can get off where you like But take advice This train don’t stop here twice Didn’t know where this train was heading Had no ticket, paid no fare Left my worries on the platform Started moving but I didn’t care now No idea of my destination Just enjoy the ride On my own with a sweet sensation Never felt so good inside……. ……When the man said
